A cross between a Rhode Island Red rooster and a Barred Rock hen, this breed combines the best traits of both parents—hardiness, strong laying ability, and calm temperament. Hens reliably produce 250–300 large brown eggs per year, often starting earlier than many heritage breeds. Their color pattern at hatch also makes them sexable, allowing males and females to be identified immediately—ideal for customers looking for pullets.
Black Sex Links are known for being friendly, easygoing birds that adapt well to a variety of environments. They perform beautifully in both confinement and free-range setups and tend to be highly resilient in different climates.

SHIPPING POLICY
Chicks ship February through October on Mondays and Wednesdays (excluding holidays). Orders will be scheduled based on availability. We will make every effort to ship your chicks during your preferred month and week; however, exact timing cannot be guaranteed. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your hatch/ship date is scheduled.
