Black Jersey Giant
The Black Jersey Giant is the largest purebred chicken in the world, known for its impressive size, gentle personality, and dependable egg production. Originally developed in the United States, this majestic breed was created as a dual-purpose bird, offering both substantial meat quality and steady laying performance.
Despite their size, Jersey Giants are known for being exceptionally calm, friendly, and easy to handle, making them wonderful additions to family flocks and beginner setups. Hens lay 170–200 large to extra-large brown eggs per year, and their strong, hardy nature allows them to thrive in a variety of climates. They are especially cold-tolerant and do well in both free-range and confined environments.
Their striking black feathers with a green iridescent sheen make them a stunning visual standout in any flock. Although they grow slower and take longer to reach full size, their impressive stature and gentle nature make them a rewarding breed to raise.

SHIPPING POLICY
Chicks ship February through October on Mondays and Wednesdays (excluding holidays). Orders will be scheduled based on availability. We will make every effort to ship your chicks during your preferred month and week; however, exact timing cannot be guaranteed. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your hatch/ship date is scheduled.
