When families start looking into home support, the terms “caregiver” and “caretaker” can sometimes feel interchangeable, but there are important differences between them. A caregiver is usually more focused on providing emotional and physical support to someone in need, while a caretaker might be more task-oriented, handling responsibilities like maintaining a household or property. I was wondering about this too, found a good explanation that goes into detail about how these roles differ, which can really help when deciding what kind of support is most appropriate for your situation.

That’s a really clear way of putting it. I’ve noticed a lot of people use the words interchangeably, so having that explanation makes it much easier to understand the difference. It definitely helps when you’re trying to figure out what kind of support is actually needed.
