Alternatives to the official Telegram client?

I’ve always used the official Telegram app, but I heard there are alternative clients with different features. Are these apps really better, or do they just look different? Which ones do you recommend trying?

There are several alternative clients, and some of them do offer unique features. A detailed comparison can be found here: https://nicegram.app/blog/best-telegram-clients-full-guide-to-telegram-alternatives. For example, Nicegram allows multiple account management and advanced filters, which the official app doesn’t support as smoothly. Other clients might focus on performance, customization, or privacy. The tradeoff is that unofficial apps don’t always get updates as fast as the official one, and there’s sometimes a trust factor—you’re relying on third-party developers. Personally, I use an alternative client on my tablet because it handles large groups better and gives me more control over notifications. On my phone, I stick with the official app for stability. It depends on your needs, but exploring alternatives can significantly improve your user experience.
