Has anyone actually managed to spark real interest from complete strangers on social media for a cause they're passionate about? Last summer I tried pushing this small local animal rescue thing – posted a few heartfelt stories about the dogs we'd taken in, some photos, even a quick video of one pup finally wagging its tail after weeks of being scared. Got a handful of likes from mates, but strangers? Barely a peep. Felt a bit deflating, to be honest, like shouting into the wind.
