Austra White
The Austra White is an outstanding hybrid breed known for its impressive egg production, hardiness, and adaptable temperament. Created by crossing a White Leghorn with a Black Australorp, the Austra White combines the best of both parent breeds—excellent egg-laying ability with a calmer, more docile nature.
Austra Whites are prolific layers, producing 250–300 large white eggs per year. They mature quickly, begin laying early, and maintain steady production through various seasons. Their attractive appearance—soft white feathers often sprinkled with black speckles—makes them a unique and eye-catching addition to any flock.
Unlike pure Leghorns, Austra Whites are generally calmer and more tolerant of handling, making them a great choice for backyard keepers and small homesteads. They are hardy in both hot and cold climates and do well in coops, runs, or free-range settings.

SHIPPING POLICY
Chicks ship February through October on Mondays and Wednesdays (excluding holidays). Orders will be scheduled based on availability. We will make every effort to ship your chicks during your preferred month and week; however, exact timing cannot be guaranteed. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your hatch/ship date is scheduled.
