Looking to Transform Backyard with Natural Stone – Tips?

I’m planning to upgrade my plain backyard into something more relaxing and nature-inspired. I’ve seen photos of natural stone patios and pathways and they look amazing. But I have no idea what kind of stone to use or how hard the maintenance is. Any tips or experience with natural stone installs?

When we redid our backyard, we also looked for something timeless and low maintenance. We decided on natural stone landscape installation services and couldn’t be happier. The installers helped us choose flagstone with a natural cleft finish that works perfectly for walkways and seating areas. It’s not slippery, even when wet, and blends into the landscape beautifully. They also helped with drainage around the stone to prevent pooling. While it’s more expensive than concrete upfront, it doesn’t crack and really doesn’t need much upkeep other than the occasional rinse. Totally worth considering if you’re going for that organic, upscale vibe.
